I know he's supposed to be great but his music does nothing for me. I've tried to get into it along with Jeff Beck, and others of similar era's and musical genres but can't. Too each his own I guess.

STEVE MORSE I LOVE YOU

@daddywhetz Exactly, that said nowadays there are more shredders who play with soul. People like John Petrucci or Guthrie Govan who mix insane technique with fusion of styles. I love hearing people like steve Mose who represent a step forward for music. During the 80's it was all about trying to play faster than this or that guy and that is why grunge took over. I think there will be a resurgence in good guitar music in 2012 and the years following, hopefully !

@LedZepGuitarman I agree with you. The soul and the emotional playing is something that most of the shredders don't seem to have, specially Malmsteem, I think he plays guitar just to fulfill his ego xd

@daddywhetz Morse is so much more developed as a player, he is so more soulful and versatile and you can tell he is using music to express himself rather than the put on act and pointless showing off that is Malmsteen.

@dino8192 natural harmonic

@dino8192 Harmonics, He lightly held his finger along the strings above the 7th fret and strummed.
He plays the acoustic thousend times better than Malmsteem, and even so, he's humble! Morse rocks

This is the first time I hear Mr. morse play. That's some of the most beautiful guitar playing I've heard in quite a while- and an inspiration to this beginner.
