i'm a proud owner of a fender aerodyne made in japan 2001...great instrument! :)

@BOYthatROX no its called fretting out. it can happen on any guitar when the action is set too low, more often on guitars with smaller fretboard radius. The aerodyne strat has a vintage 7.25 radius (which is considered small/curved), set it up with a higher action. You should of course make sure the neck tension is adjusted so there isnt too much back bow. Nothing to do with where it is made, although american ones tend to have better set ups prior shipping.

@myfloatingshoes damn that has a classic sound

@jackstraw424 yeah im pretty sure its a thing with chinese/japanese made guitars. I was at guitar center the other day and i tested out gibson and epiphone les pauls. Same deal, epiphone "cracks" when you bend certain notes. Gibson doesnt.
-
@BOYthatROX mine does that too!!
-
i have this guitar...i cant remember if has always done this, but my only complaint is in the high e string no sound comes out when you bend past the 12th fret
