Cold Steel Special Forces Shovel-Urban Survival

Does your bug out bag have a shovel in it yet? It might after you watch this video. The Cold Steel Special Forces Shovel is by far the best emergency tool I've used. The only problem now is finding a place for it on my bob (bug out bag).

The Special Forces Shovel is modeled after the original Soviet Spetznaz shovel. The Spetznaz soldiers made up the most elite unit in the Soviet Army. The U.S. equivalent would be our Green Berets. The shovel head and socket are forged from medium carbon steel, then heat treated for maximum strength. The edges come sharpened to a utility/axe edge that can easily be improved to razor sharpness.

The Special Forces Shovel comes complete with a specially made cordura sheath. The sheath features an extra wide belt loop. The sheath and the shovel are available for sale as a stand alone items.

You can use this to chop and bludgeon an attacking pervert, then did a shallow grave for his cadaver. Good review.

Does my bug out bag have a shovel in it yet? Well, no. But what it does have is enough paracord, guns, ammo, and knives to supply a Somolian Militia :-)

I could have dug up that piece of sod with a wooden spoon...but I have had this shovel for years and I do have to say it's handy.

Everybody keeps saying this shovel "comes with" a great sheath. True the sheath is great, but I have two of these shovels and I had to buy the sheaths separately. The shovels both came without sheaths.
