What meant Ronaldo for Brazil, Zidane for France, Raul for Spain or Figo for Portugal that was Owen for England. The greatest genius. It was a joy to watch his goals.

Owen was something else. I'm not english but this guy made me a fan of the English International Team. I still love England team but today they have shite like Caroll.

Tbh though him and Rooney aren't much different, both praised as the next big thing and both didn't deliver. Owen has the skill but was always injured and Rooney just didn't have the skill but has kept in the press for being violent.

Wish Michael owen never had such a bad time with injuries... I'm pretty upset that my own fans booed him when he returned to St James park this season with Man U. A Player such as Owen should be respected everywhere he goes.
