Text-message voting - sponsored by the amazing 104.1 FM KRBE - returns this year and counts for 25-percent of the final tally. Judges scores count for 75-percent.

This years host bar is METEOR, which offers both the contestants and the crowd a superior Pride Idol experience. The competition will be visible on Meteors eight video screens, and singers will have access to a first-rate playback system.

Returning as judges this year are Joey Guerra, who also assumes the role of Pride Idol director; and Ernie Manouse, Emmy-winning PBS host/producer and vice-president of the Houston Pride Committee.
