  • if it was possible to simply plug this box in, and the gameplay fed back through to the laptop monitor, a company could make a FORTUNE with this idea

i thought of this long ago, but obviously i just dismissed it as impossible :P

if you could make a 'node' with a gfx card slot, extra usb ports, and perhaps a gaming soundcard built in, that would be an epic idea

  • @DaGleese

Magma builds a larger expansion unit that you can plug-in a USB pcie card, sound PCie card and more...

  • it would be nice if you could feed the video output back into the laptop screen as well though, Thunderbolt...

  • @dannypires1

Thunderbolt expansion system is coming soon, for discussions and forums go to expansionsystem(.)com

  • @TYZARRD lol i got a vidock 4 plus

  • I love how it costs more than a new computer.

  • @militaryson94 yeah but then some of us get emotionally attached to our laptops and use it mainly for college/work and would appreciate being able to play games on it too.. Oh i didn't know the integrated video card i got sucked it said '1gb video memory!'..

But yeah.. An external GPU without external monitor at a decent price would be great

  • Hrmm.... Here's an Idea. Buy a desktop PC, put graphics card in it, ????, Profit. -.- Kind of a waste in my opinion. You dont buy a laptop for desktop graphics, It's just not thesable (yet).

  • If you guys are interested in PCIe expansion enclosures, take a look at our channel :]

  • build a cheap gaming PC instead buying this shit... this accessory should come with external CPU watercooler and external motherboard as well lol...

  • @yak2be lol im asking myself the same question lol

  • @yak2be Exactly
