This film is so beautiful, it almost made me forgive Bertolucci for ever making The Dreamers. Then I remembered this one was made before, so we're kinda on the same page.

I can say I watched almost all this widely known cinematography classics, Eisenstein, Melies, Chaplin, Hitchcock, Wyler, Truffaut, Godard, Resnais, Has, Kurosawa, Mizoguchi, Coppola, Fellini, Visconti, Michelangelo Antonioni, Kubrick, Lynch, Wells, Tarkovsky, Wenders, Scorsese, Kieslowski, Kazan, Altman, Haneke, Trier and few more.

But never see such a beautiful scenes, such a fantastic films like in Bertolucci.

His cinematic sense is extraordinary. Superficially dodging,essentially haunting.

@YourOwnParents i can't say i've seen that many films, but bertolucci really stands out when it comes to cinematic beauty. my biggest wish until this day is that my everyday life could be as pretty as the scenes in "stealing beauty".
