There is a maximum take off weight and a maximum landing weight set up by the Aircraft manufacturer. The take off w. is always much higher, as it is considered the aircraft to have consumed about all it's fuel on landing.
On take off there is no structural damage due to the fact that it's a soft lift and there it goes. On landing there is always some kind of stress to the frame and wings due to the fact that it is a hit on the ground, dampered but a hit anyway.

@zszs100 It`s actually because if they do crash and there is a fire you don`t want to have thousands of pounds of highly flammable liquid on board
