Hi, I'm a Singaporean Chinese guy turning 23 this July.
I'm approximately 5'5 (1.67m) tall.
It's been my teenage dream to dunk the 10-foot rim even though it seems impossible.
I just need to know if there are guys out there around my height (Asian, non-Afro-American) who can actually achieve the feat.
I know how important and powerful it is to believe in oneself and in the impossible but currently I'm having some doubts about it.
I also am convinced that following the Jump Manual's instructions can really give results (40-inch vertical).
It's just that in where I live (Singapore) and with the circumstances that I face (as a working adult, not an athlete), it seems really impossible to attain a 40-inch vertical.
My current vertical is at 23 inches. I have tried Air Alert twice - once in my late teens, another just a few weeks ago.
I stopped Air Alert once I heard of the Jump Manual and the emphasis on explosiveness rather than endurance training as Air Alert seems to emphasise on (pacing with oneself, etc.)
So, all in all, I would like to be assured (or discouraged) that someone like me is (or isn't) capable of achieving a 40-inch vertical just like you Caucasians and Afro-Americans!
And also, I would appreciate if feedback can be given on my form and other techniques on my dunks.
Yes, please don't laugh: I derive cheap thrills from dunking on low rims (8-foot).
I have a video of myself doing these dunks. They are not at all impressive, tha's why I need help in correcting my form on top of improving my jumping.
Thanks alot for listening! I really want to make history as I haven't seen any one in my shoes who can dunk the 10-foot rim.
Nice dunks !
