I can't drive by that site without thinking of that contest. You guys really went all the way on that one. Very impressive. That whole area is still in such a state of flux, but it's starting to get developed.

I am the engineer that was responsible for WILD at the time of these contests, and I moved WILD to the WXKS-AM site a few years ago. The transmitter at the new site is a Harris DAX-6.

The old BE transmitter that was at WILD is now in Pennsylvania, as the main transmitter for an Alex Langer property.

Thanks Scott! You know none of this is there any longer, they're diplexed with WXKS AM running, I think, the same BE transmitter that was there in later years, the AM5 or 5A.
