I was curious if the TPU concept is similar to the Joule Thief circuit.

Steven Marks drops a magnet into a coil to start the device. This is what generated the initial electricity (generator) effect to get the device running. Pulse/overunity does the rest, keeps it going.

Do a google image search for the linden experiment. Note the compass position for the magnetic field. Mother nature's power supply.
