  • I am planning on getting a Warmoth neck for my MIM, but I think it may be a pain to install. The original neck is shimmed because of the string height on my Gotoh 201, and it looks like it was hand drilled - not drill pressed - so I may have to dowel and redrill the neck mounting holes :-/ But from what I've seen from Warmoth builds, I think the neck is high enough quality to make having to dowel, drill, and shim worth the effort.

  • @bluesy92 instead of putting a shim in the neck.. Just file the groves in the gotoh. Any rat tail file from home depot will work.. Then adjust your sting height and set the intonation.. you want to keep that neck pocket as tight as possible.

  • img that´s a sick tone! and such a beautyful instrument....

  • @PepePancho0815 warmoth makes some very high quality stuff. IMHO

  • nice!

  • @feedmebass well, even now, I try to make it as tight as possible as far as the shim goes (thin, full-length shim) but this does make sense...I might just switch the saddles for Fender saddles, though, which are slightly smaller.

  • how much did you have to put it together

  • what picks are on?
