I just finished installing my Accent's multirange full led footwell lighting. The underbody will match it once I get more rods to span the length of the car. Video was taken during the day but I'm going to take another tonight.

  • needs the cig output for the control panel. im not actually using the lighter output its a box underneath of it.

  • @tatsumaru12345 yes the fuse is very large its for my subs and amp in my car, and the lights dont take that much power. plus my subs arent even in my car at the moment cause my amp is broke so i took my system out and installed it in my house till i get a new amp, but the wires are still connected and everything in the car. thanks, i think i will tapp into the power wire i already have running to the battery that already has a fuse on it.

  • @STREETRACEN4U As long as the fuse on the wire is big enough, you can tap into the WIRE if you don't want to run another wire to the battery.. BUT!!! You probably need to run a 2nd fuse for your lights. Unless they're super powerful like street glow or something similar, 5A or 10A is the most you'll probably need.

  • @tatsumaru12345 ya, i already have a fuse running to my battery from the amp to my subs so i was thinking maby i could splice the power wire of the toggle switch to the power wire running from the amp too the battery since that already has a fuse on it. would that be ok too do instead? i bought sum LED'S off ebay from Hong Kong on friday and it says they wont get here till either the 23rd or April 4th!! so i have too wait a while b4 i can actually try anything : ( they were only 2.95$ tho : )

  • @STREETRACEN4U No no! What you should do, go to walmart or anywhere near by that sells essentially a fuse wire. Essentially, you'll have a wire going out to your battery, the fuse and fuse holder, and a wire going out to whatever you want. 10A is probably more than enough. Usually they're about 12 or 14 guage, and only 3 or 4 dollars. Usualy don't come with the fuse though.

  • @tatsumaru12345 yo, is it ok too wire a toggle switch directly too my battry without a fuse? i heard thats not a good idea. kus im powering LED's and i dont want them too expload or sumthing lol

  • Get rid of that cigerate lighter plug in!! Fuse it at like 5 amps, put a switch in either the left hole of the steering, glove box, ANYWHERE, and wire it to your battery. That 12 out looks dorky being used like that lol.
