A reunion of blues musicians who used to play at the old Maxwell Street market, playing together at the Maxwell Street stage at the Chicago Blues Festival on Sunday, June 8th, 2008. The band consists of Robert "Dancin'" Perkins on bass, his long-time guitarist Riler "Ice Man" Robinson on guitar, "Smilin' Bobby" Smith on guitar, Frank "Little Sonny" Scott on percussion, and Dancin' Perkins son Chris (who began playing drums in his dad's band on Maxwell Street at the age of 8) on drums.

  • Wow! Thank you! And hi to my old friend Iceman Robinson!

We did some gigs at Lily's in Chicago together, in the early 90's

    Nicest guy ever!

  • Thanx for posting this! I was helping in the Maxwell St. Foundation info tent next to the stage at the Chi Blues fest last year and didn't get to hear all the music. There are so many great musicians here in this town that people don't often get to hear. Dancin Perkins, Smilin' bobby, Ice Man Robinson...all of them have a story.
