an annual fast day in Judaism, named for the ninth day (Tish'a) of the month of Av in the Hebrew calendar. The fast commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, which occurred about 656 years apart, but on the same date.

The Book of Lamentations is traditionally read, followed by a series of liturgical lamentations called Kinnot

  • @Lotrfan99 correct

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette most jews in the world are cultural jews. we arent a race but we are much much more than a religious group. thus you can be an atheist but still very jewish. you are jewish regardless of whether you believe in it or not.

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette jews are not only religious group but also nation which shares common history, culture and aspiration. so i define myself part of the jewish nation, and i see the bible as an historical book with some things correct and some legands. for example abraham yits7ak and ya'akov are legandary figures while i do belive in the existence of the Kingdom of Israel.

  • @hoeryong: How can you be atheist && Jewish at the same time? That's an oxymoron as Jews believe in God, cuz Judaism claims to be from amongst the Monotheistic Faiths.

Anyways, do you know Arabic? What do you call God in Arabic?

Re: Nasheed, then it's praising the prophet Muhammad sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam, do you believe in him?

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette im atheist jew. they are praying from lamentation book (Eikha). on the falling of Jerusalem and the destroying of the temple. as for the nashid, im atheist jew, and i liked the melody so i uploaded it

  • @hoeryong: I don't understand, what is being read?

Also, are you a Muslim? If not then why do you have that Islamic nasheed featured on your channel about the Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam).

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette aiwa.....in the western wall, jerusalem, crying on the temple that was destroyed

  • What is this? The Torah being recited or what?

  • B''H

    amazing! this will bring Moshiach.

  • Praying only God's best Blessings to you and yours on this '9th of Av' 10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41
