  • Our 19 son was diagnosed with this last Friday. His Dr. said it was from having pneumonia 3 times within 5 months. I have so much to learn about this disease. I mean, what kind of quality of life can he expect, what is his prognosis? He is so young to be stricken with this.

  • @gloriamounts to have you by his side makes em feel better. One day at a time and continue to be strong.

  • My husband age 51 is dying from Bronchiectasis and all of its complications. We are living our new "normal" life. which includes frequent trips to the hospital. I administer his IV's at home, atleast 8 breathing treatments a day. Lots of pills. He is deteriorating fast, he is less than 110 pounds now. The horrible coughing and spitting up is torture to watch, so I can only imagine how he feels. He never complains. He talks about the day he will get better, but he will never get better.

  • My Beloved mother died of this last saturday - she was 71 - had sarcoidosis 1st..... then suffered with this for 14 months....she went downhill fast & had no lung capacity & was on maximum oxygen & a nebulizer but she/we didn't know she was going to die......I am heartbroken

  • i contracted the condition from the application of chest drains or air valves to force air into my under-devolped lungs, due to early birth. i now have loss of function from the top area of the right lung and 50% of my left lung is serverly un-developed from a collaps. it is now i am trying to understand the condition, because i beleive that alot more can be done for this than is being done.

i find specialists diagnosice of the condition to be quite negative and metal depilitating.

  • I was d'xed with bronchiectasis at age 19. Lower left side and now at 64, the b. has progressed and I now have it on the right lobe also.

  • isd anybody here have an animated video of formation of bronchopneumonia??

  • Bronchiectasis is frequent in cystic fibrosis patients

  • I have this condition with no cause don't even smoke! I'm 48 with 54% lung function
