The last event of the 1977 European Final of The Superstars. Keith Fielding has to win and hope that Ties Kruize finishes third or lower to win the European title. Kruize needs to win or finish second.
In an exciting race Fielding wins the steeplechase, but Kruize snatches second virtually on the line to claim the European title.
Interviews with Fielding and Kruize follow with the late Ron Pickering, with Fielding's imfamous quote "It's a damn bloody shame" there.
Commentary and interviews by Ron Pickering, with the event taking place at the Ahoy Stadium, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Fielding was and is a true gent. A credit to the world of sport. He gave his everything, and that's all that anyone can do. THEIR BEST.

Hockey rules, Ties Kruize was the best- 2 bad the program does not exist anymore.

woooo go fielding. so tight about the guy who came second. Im being taught by fielding and he just retired after our years rugby tour in holland. Goooo Keith!
