Henry Cavill as Superman in "The Man of Steel" (2012)

My thoughts on this HUGE announcement about the Supes reboot coming out in December 2012. Jeez, I'm still excited about the TDKR casting news. So much awesome info's being released :)

HENRY CAVIL is the best choice to play SUPERMAN.

As for BRANDON ROUTH I saw nothing in him that says hes SUPERMAN except that he kind of looks like Reeves (not really)...

And the whole British/American argument makes no sense to me at all. Everyone thought HUGH LAURIE who plays HOUSE was a great American actor until they discovers hes British who hides his accent for the show (its called acting people).

Tom Welling is my only Superman and Michael Rosenbaum was the greatest Lex ever. I've watched Smallville from season 1 to 10. Why movie directors wont give their fans what they want I will never know. I didnt' like Brandon Roth, thought his acting basically sucked. IDK if I'll be seing this film, but I'll definately be paying the $200 for the complete 10 seasons of DVDs with Tom and Michael.

Does Hollywood not make sequels any more? is EVERY god damn movie now going to be a reboot of a reboot of a reboot? So what will this one be called -'Superman Returns AGAIN for the 2nd time cuz the first one didn't count.'

Okay...Maybe...we will have to wait and see how he does IF he can fill Christopher Reeves shoes...or even come close to acting the part of The New Modern Day Superman...sense of humor...? Then the muscular masculin Super Hero....to save the earth....Okay will give him a chance and see how Heny Cavill does in this new movie coming up, thank you for helping me to have a more open mind about this...:) Sorry just not see any of his movies he has acted in so need to do this before can decide :)

@50Calabyte I see. I personally love the suit, it gives Sups a more Alien feel. I showed 2 people the suit, and both of them could not figure out what was missing at first (which was a shock to me). Like you said, Batman has Undies in the comics, in movies he don't, I really feel we are just not use to it with Sups. We been living with Batman without Undies since 1989, this is a first for Sups. Also, lets see how it looks on screen, could be badass. 1 thing I LOVE is the S shield!

@EtherMagic Ok on second though he doesn't look that bad. The problem I am having is the suit. It looks nothing like the comic suit! Why do they feel the need to radically alter the suits that have made these heroes so iconic? Look at The Dark Knight suit. It looks nothing like the comics. I understand not wanting them to look like they are in their undies but at least make it look somewhat like it. The suit Bats has in the Arkham games is a perfect balance.

@50Calabyte Have you seen the set Pics??? He looks like he jumped straight out the comic books!!! Henry was cast as Superman 8 years ago, if you know your history, before shitty Routh got the part. The majority of hard core Superman fans have been wanting Henry as Superman for a very long time now, he will make this film proud!
