A very rare occurrence as a Norfolk Southern SD60M was on the point of this SU-99. This engine probably came down on the detoured 13T or 30T and was sent back up to Bingo on this SU-99. Unfortunately the circumstances couldn't have been worse for filming. The train ran in pure darkness and it was pouring rain. I waited about 2 hours for the train at Frederick's only to have my camera go out of focus as the engine comes into view (didn't include that.) Then I went to Rich's to see if I could get a better shot, everything went wrong here from me dropping the camera lense cleaner into a puddle of water, large rain drops falling onto my camera, another railfan pulling right into my shot even though I tried to have him park in another spot, and the worker at the deli turning the light off. Anyway I hope you enjoy seeing this very rare catch, this video is NOT up to my standards, I only uploaded it for you guys to see the NS widecab leading the Susquehanna road freight. Power NS SD60M 6790, NYS&W SD40T-2 3014, CEFX SD40-2 3143, and CEFX SD40-2 3147.

  • Good catch on the NS in the rain

  • @CSX453 Thanks man, if only this happened a month ago in daylight with no rain... Haha I'll take what I can get though!

  • SEXY!

  • @Railfan108 Haha yeah, it was pretty awesome.

  • You may not have gotten the best shot on these, but this still would've made my day with that decent power variety. Great catch!

  • @murjax Yeah, I was very happy to see this, I've never seen anything like this before.

  • So this railfan acknowledged your presence, then parked right in your shot anyway? Wow. Everyone that has ever arrived after me has worked to keep out of my LOS, and I always do that same if I'm the late guy. Can't imagine such rudeness.

  • @CSXACe Ya I would do the same if it was raining and there was a Good catch coming my way I would go out in the rain to catch it. I did that once on one of my vids and np.

  • @KyleVideoDesigns Haha thanks my dude! I'm glad it wasn't too bad.

  • @SusQ45 I hope you guys got to see this epic train. That's awesome that you got to see a pure yellow jacket consist. Haven't seen one of them since the leasers popped up!

  • @TheTrainManiac Thanks man!
