According to the book Charlie is neutered.

I had a severely close call with a coyote as a farm kid and know what a mad coyote is capable of so I say if some idiot yuppie wannabe wants to go play cowgirl and wildlife savior then all the luck to her and hope she doesn't have to get too many stitches

better kept as pets than out killing live stock.

I did not realize there was video blog with the book. I see every time I go to the bookstore and I keep debating with myself if I should buy it. Never have the money to spare though... College does that to people. Hahaha!
But, one day I will get that book and read it. =]

I just finished reading your book, and it was a fascinating story about how we can learn from and be enriched by both wild and domestic animals. There are coyotes in my area and last year Muttley and I saw a small one very close up. I tried to take a video but it was too dark, so I mostly have the audio of Muttley freaking out, while the coyote was unfazed.

@OettingerCroat coyotes are usually only 25-30 lbs. they really arent all that big. i am also curious as to how a pet coyote would handle being picked up. it'd be cool to hold one in your arms :) they're probably really soft

i'm sure someone breeds them. like they do genets and kinkajus and monkeys

domestication takes a long time. the'll need to find coyotes who are relaxed, breed with more relaxed 'yotes. and then you domesticate it in 100+ years.
I love how people's voice automatically go up a few octaves when talking to cute animals.

Alex: Animals aren't like that..look at it this way, many of us own both cats and dogs and they get along, yet if they were wild running around they would avoid or even fight eachother. Animals are perfectly capable of befriending eachother, when theres no competition for food or other resources.
