Troops expand FDL at Muhamalai and Kilali 07-01-09

The Security Forces are continuing their advance after capturing the LTTE Muhamalei and Kilali Forward Defence Lines....Military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara said while the gallant soldiers of the Army of the 53rd and 55th Divisions are continuing their advancement, have succeeded in taking control of four LTTE monitoring centres. The troops destroyed two large armouries of the terrorists. Brigadier Nanayakkara said that the troops are only 1.5 kilometers away from Palai, another LTTE stronghold.
