damn bro sorry about the shit you went through. Im an ex JW but was lucky in the respect that my immediate family were not Jw's, but when I told the elders i wanted to stop all my "friends" that were jw's, i had "close" relationships with all turned their back on me too,

@synthetica83 Jesus went to the places of prayer as well as he walked to all the towns preaching. Now if u have read the new testament Jesus told his diciples to go out into the cities to spread the word and if they didnt want to hear it to shake the dust from their feet! Sooo.... Thats what Jw's r doing. Just following an example left to them.

@BoshinTV What the hell are you talking about? If you go to church and listen to a sermon, that's your own choice. JW's banging on your door uninvited at 7 in the morning on a Saturday is not even in the same ballpark.

We can drink because it says in the bible god created the harvest.. He created wine and wheat to be harvested..... But we choose to not celebrate holidays like birthdays, because of experiences like king herods birthday.. The reason why people blow out the candles and make a wish, king Herod was amazed by a dancer, he said she could have anything she wanted, she asked her mother, who was a queen, and her mother told her to have John the baptizer decapitated, so Herod had this done

@SuperRaskL I call bullshit! You do not "choose" not to celebrate holidays. You are threatened. If any JW "chooses" to celebrate a holiday they can be disfellowshipped and kicked out of the group. That isn't a choice. If a JW doesn't agree with the organizations interpretation of the bible and the given reasons for not celebrating they will be expelled. The sad thing is your minds are so twisted you no longer understand what a choice actually is.

why does everyone who quits the JWz pick up smoking? maybe the org. was the only thing keeping you from doing bad? is taht possible??

@lilfreeway21 Can you define what you mean by bad? Smoking is unhealthy and I'm not going to act like it was smart of me to start smoking. But if we are going to call smoking "bad" we should call eating McDonalds "bad" and a myriad of other unhealthy habits. So I'm just curious if you mean bad as immoral or bad as in unwise.
