Five Blackwater Worldwide security guards have been indicted and a sixth is in plea negotiations with prosecutors for a 2007 shooting in Baghdad, people close to the case said Friday. (Dec. 5)
They only saw our heads off and tape it.. but hey a couple of our guys shoot a few of them and the world stops! what the hell you shot children... well.. did they have dynamite strapped to them..?
Who give a fuck about this you seen what happen in fulja i would too and iraqies always play some bullshit with kids being killled americans raping kids and weman.
The most widely used defintion of mercenary follows the The Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949. Within its definition of a mercenary is the requirement that the person is neither a national of a Party to the conflict nor a resident of territory controlled by a Party to the conflict. In our case, in Iraq and elsewhere, US was "the Party" to a conflict. Blackwater is a national of the US and has only taken assignments on behalf and paid by the US. =not a mercenary!
Mercenary is defined as one who serves merely for wages, especially, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, being hired by a foreign government. Guys who get paid $300-$600 per day to do this = mercenaries. Also, since it has been made very difficult to track how much money is being spent on contractors, it is uncertain that they are necessarily cheaper. So the argument that we need em because Liberals have cut military spending is questionable. I'll believe it when I see it on the books.
Until you have served in Iraq or have been in the cross hairs of a soviet-made ak-47, then you have no business putting in your two cents on this issue. The insurgents/terrorists blend in with general population, making it more difficult to distinguish the good guys from the bad. Some, if not a majority, of those so-called "innocent" civilians killed in this incident, harbor and are firm supporters of the insurgents. They want americans out of their towns.
These same people with anti-american sentiment are the ones interviewed to discuss the incident. I wonder what kind of story they're gonna tell. All of you uneducated commentators need to stop being so quick to believe those one-sided accounts of what happened and try to use some rational thought as to how volatile the situation is in a hot zone like Iraq.
These brave men i.e. Blackwater are doing jobs, like protecting diplomats, who are vital to the progression of Iraq. Jobs that our military can't or are not trained to do. If liberals democrats don't want to use PMCs like Blackwater, then they need to stop legislating to diminish our military and defense spending and train and adequately supply our troops to do the jobs that Blackwater does and stop pulling troops out of Iraq! Blackwater is hired to fill those gaps created by troop shortages!
All of you ignorant commentators who liberally use the word "mercenary" need to stop using it erroneously. Blackwater is hired by and authorized by the US government(State Department/Dept of Defense) to provide security protection and training. A mercenary is someone hired by a foreign government to fight for that foreign government. As such Blackwater, a US entity hired by its native US govnt, is not a mercenary company, period...
