One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is an initiative to build a low-cost laptop computer with a pre-installed operating system and applications designed for children in developing countries. The operating system is a Linux-based solution, a heavily customised edition of Fedora Core with a special graphical user interface called Sugar.

  • sugar seems to available via apt ... Do you fancy trying it out on pinguy ?

Here's an ambitious task for you Spatry... After installing sugar - create a user that is kiosked to using sugar only - maybe add some nanny rules too.

One done, pass me your configuration files as I'm too lazy to work it out for myself - LOL !

  • @shafnet HaHA you are Killing me, Shaf! You might have to give ME a tutorial on doing that one! LOL

  • its nice there doing this.

  • @DeutscheMann24 When I saw this on DistroWatch, I felt this would be something good to share with the community.

  • @LinuxSpatry Do you know if they accept donations?

  • @DeutscheMann24 Please see the site listed in the show notes.
