09' OSCAR NOMINATIONS: Slumdog Millionaire sweeps 10 Oscar nominations!!

Danny Boyle's Golden Globe winning Slumdog Millionaire - a story based in the Bombay slums - has been nominated in 10 categories for the Academy Awards to be held on February 22, 2009. Slumdog has been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay (Simon Beaufoy), Best Picture, Best Original Score (Allah Rakha Rahman), Best Song (One each for Jai Ho and O Saya), Best editing, Best Sound Mixing (Resul Pookutty), Best Sound Editing (Resul Pookutty), Best Cinematography and Best Director (Danny Boyle) at the Oscars. This put's slumdog a best chance at winning an Oscar with this many nominations. The Oscar's will be aired here in the united states, at 8pm/7pm CST, in Los Angeles, LIVE, on feb. 22nd, 2009, on ABC. Everyone else in the world, please check your local listings for showtimings.

As much as I love The Dark Knight (I've seen it 4 times in IMAX) I still think Slumdog Millionaire deserved it more.
