General Hospital - Jun 97 Dorman's body is found

June 9, 1997. Part 1. Alan walks into the darkened GH library and tells himself to calm down. The lights come on and Alan is startled to see Alexis standing there. He asks Alexis if she notices if he's doing things differently. He's still rattled by the conversation he had with Brenda. Brenda and Sonny go looking for Dorman. Carly is walking past the morgue when she sees blood in the hallway. She goes into the morgue and finds Dorman's body. Before she can do anything, Jason puts a hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming. As Carly watches, Jason goes through Dorman's pockets and then tells Carly to call 911. He tells her to let AJ know what's going on and that he should tell the others. Meanwhile, Monica is ushering Emily to her car when they run into Ned. Ned sees Emily's hospital gown covered in blood and Monica holding a bloody scalpel. Ned says he'll take care of things and Monica should get Emily home.

A hitman nicknamed the Tinman. He worked for Lilly's father. Dorman double crossed him so he had him killed and then framed Brenda as revenge against Sonny.

@pxlbarrel: Dorman was probably the last decent murder mystery GH has had and it's been 12 years now. The build up was slow and calculated and we had the classic mad scramble of all the suspects as the victim was being killed. and I loved that the prime suspect was the show's sweetheart Emily (with good cause). then Sonny and the mob co-opted the story, had a silly solution (the Tin Man, my ass!) and we got weeks of Sonny and Brenda stomping around a studio-set jungle. Bleech!

@AltaDave27 You are right on the money there. This was a nice little murder mystery involving the Quartermaines and the storyline got hijacked by Sonny and the mob. It was the beginning of the end and a sign of things to come for both the Q's and for the uprising of the mob on GH.

I really wish Sonny would have kept his promise to Brenda about having a great life together!! Damn I really miss Sonny & Brenda!! And the first Carly was the best Carly, I don't care what anybody says!!

@AltaDave27 Yeah a great murder mystery! With Alan being nervous, Sonny hiding something in his pocket, and Emily who has blood on her, it makes you wonder did any of them do it? :)

I remember the Carly scene where she sees the blood and then goes in and sees Dorkman! And then Jason covers her mouth! :)

Jason: We don't want to have explain why your footprints are all over the place.

Me: Why? Did she step on the blood? ROFL!

At 9:18 Emily looks creepy! It's like is her head going to spin around? ROFL!
