More interviews from December's American Geophysical meeting.
I spoke with Oceanographer Josh Willis of NASA JPL, and Greenland ice expert Jason Box, of the Byrd Polar Center at OSU.
Sea level rise, one of the biggest and potentially most catastrophic impacts of climate change, continues to accelerate.

This is an interesting one. I appreciate that the 'denier' vilification is somewhat toned down in this video so thanks. I think it gives more credibility to your cause. I think it's early to call it global warming. Why do I say that? Clearly we see a natural trend in warming. Man's contribution to greenhouse gases was not even measurable until the late 1930's.

which of the specific statements in this video do you take issue with? Rather than just name calling, I have interviewed real scientists, -- who have given me positive feedback on my work, btw - and I report what they say.

In a discussion, what you do is rebut them, if you can, by citing your own sources. If you have none, then perhaps you should do some homework, as I have.

should be easy to refute then. be my guest.

Are you saying that there is no upside to climate change?

What's really amazing is that the buffoons in this video seem to be completely ignorant of the fact that ocean temperatures have been FALLING for the past 14 years. Therefore, if their theory about sea level rise (i.e. due to warmer ocean temperatures causing the seas to "expand") were true, then there should be numerous confirmations of this fact TODAY. Sea levels should have returned at least 42mm (3 mm/yr?) of their 130 yr alleged rise - surely this has been observed?

Of course, greenman3610 could have argued Vancouver is rising due to the Juan de Fuca tectonic plate pushing into OR, WA, Victoria Island and the Strait of Georgia at the rate of 4 cm per year. But he probably doesn't know much about geology or plate tectonics, what with being so busy promoting AGW nonsense. Tidal gauges are one helluva poor substitute for sea level measurements by satellites. They are hopelessly confounded by plate movements, orbital dynamics, and changes in tides.

Junk science cont'd - chart at 2:05 is bogus. Lisbon, Portugal is sinking, so it is to be expected that sea level will "rise" at Santa Catarina tide markers. Similarly, Oreiro, Cupertino, Szatmari, and Filho have shown the entire continental shelf around Rio de Janeiro has been sinking since at least 112 Ma. Do I need to go through the entire list? No answer to mikespulligan's observation that Vancouver is rising higher? Satellites measure only statistically insignificant sea level rise.
