@starr522 The difference between Carrie and Kelly is simple. Carrie won American Idol and Kelly plus Carrie has more powerful vocals then Kellie. So it doesn't surprise that Carrie has gotten to be an Opry Member quicker than Kellie. Remember it is veterans of the Opry, who invite other people to be members. Carrie didn't ask to member, she was totally shocked when Randy surprise with the invitation.

Just watched this post again. Simon Cowell predicted that Ms Underwood would win and be the biggest selling artist from Idol ever. Well, he was RIGHT. But, I noticed the WSM, Grand Ole Opry mike stand wrap around signs. Just like on stage at the Ryman in Nashville. Ironic that while she performed on the Opry stage, it was Randy Travis that extended the Grand Ole Opry invitation to become a member. But, Kellie Pickler has done pretty good as well.
