If you ever looked for a way to send media files via WIFI from one uPnP-enabled phone to another, you've probably found only articles mentioning the use of routers or third party hotspots to make it possible.

This exclusive video by Alberto Bilheteria shows how to setup a simple ad-hoc WLAN network in N95, allowing you to send media files DIRECTLY from one N95 to another, without using ANY extra stuff.
No hotspots.
No routers
Simply... Bilheteria!

Short description:
-take your N95, open "Home netw." and enable "Content Sharing".Go through the wizard, and at step 5, select "Create new" and next, "default settings"

-select "WLAN network name", then "Enter manually", and specify a name.

-scroll down to "WLAN network mode" and change it to "Ad-hoc".Press back and then OK to choose the just-created home access point.

-go ahead, checking "Share all files" in the last steps.A WLAN connection will be created when you finish the wizard.

-in a second N95, open "Home netw.".Select "Settings", and click on "Home access point".Choose "Create new", then "Search for WLAN", and select the ad-hoc WLAN network that's active in the other phone.

-still in the second N95, go to "Gallery", press up to highlight "Home network" and select it.Wait some seconds, and you should be able to access the shared media files from the first N95

  • This video is a waste of your time if you don't have a nokia phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy so do you think that would be a bit of help to me

  • @heartsineurope bluethooth is ok when you are sending files under 5mb but if you wanna send mp4 movies etc. bluethooth is dmn slow you can send those movies whit wlan faster than you can download them from internet if you got under 30mb/s network connection

  • Why use Home Network to view photos and vids on your standard T.V Set?

Don't you have the Scart Lead in the Box?

  • Does anyone know how I can use the Home network feature to view photos and videos on my standard television set?
