A modern dance sequence is captured and rendered in 3D Video. 3D Video provides the ability to use fluid virtual camera movements that compliment the dancer's artistic expression. Once limited to viewing passively via pre-selected viewpoints, the user is now free to join the dance as a free-moving part of the expressive movements.
this is so great. I'm guessing it's some kind of live tracking that builds the 3d mesh and projects the image ono the mesh from one camera to another. That was you don't have to ave hundreds of cameras all around, but just a few to completely project around the mesh? love it!

Hi. The dancer was filmed with our 16-camera offline rig, a 4DV Classic system. The dancer is recreated as a series of 3D meshes and then color & texture are recalculated for each mesh surface based on virtual viewpoint angle.
