@huper2k Uhm, what you're doing is backwards, cos even without hacking/jailbreaking, I was able to get custom ringtones one my first gen iPhone because I figured out what the filetype, or rather extension was that Apple used, being .m4r. At that time I didn't thought of hacking it or as became clear jailbreaking it, cos the iPhone already fulfilled my every need.
So actually, it was possible. Apple finally revealed you could infact make own ringtones, because much of it had been leaked
