Federal highway funding is woefully outdated. Our gas tax, which hasn't risen since 1993, has lost a lot of its purchasing power due to inflation. Without a more adequate funding mechanism, Minnesota could lose hundreds of millions in federal highway dollars. Minnesota 2020 Policy Associate Riordan Frost explains a new funding formula that could help raise revenue in a way that's fair for drivers.
