Pt 12 of the restoration of a Ford Cortina 1971 GXL (early model) . Discovered in a field in Essex. Abandoned for 24 years. Left in the open, exposed at the mercy of the elements. Left for dead. Dismissed by critics as too far gone. Only a mad man would attempt it. Beyond the pale. Scary. Rusty. Riddled. Overtaken by mice and hazelnuts. Chassis holding on for dear life. The last dying moments. The reaper only inches away. The sickels mad swipe, she could have been lost forever. .... and then....came the rescue.
This is the story, the full story of a mission impossible. A story of resolve. A story of creativity, one mans vision against the odds to hatch a plan to rescue one of the early survivors. A true gem. A real rarity. She will be re-built. This is total commitment. Maxium power. This is attricion. This is full throttle. This is round the clock. Non-Stop rebuild.

Please see previos pt 1-12 for detailed information on this incredible project.
don't forget mate that the inner sill attaches between the floor and an outer sill which will put you measurements out by a fraction as there is no inner sill when you measured up the floor piece
