[Albany, OR]
These were happenings in the PNWR Albany Yards on August 8th, 2008. Includes footage from the main Albany Yard and engine house to the OE Yard, not that far away from the Albany Yard. A few unusual powers are seen as well. At the main Albany yard, there is leased DLMX 644 (EMD SDP40F) and ARR 3002 (EMD GP40-2) and the newest addition to the roster, PNWR 1805 (EMD GP9E). In the OE yard, the main attraction was RPRX 5400 (Genset Demonstrator RP20BD). 5400 was leased to the Portland and Western for possible interest in using these Genset units in the future. Also in the OE Yard is ex-Utah Railway 2005 (EMD GP38-3) and LLW 5399 (SEXY EMD SD9E).

  • I believe the mars light on 1501 is broken due to how its not doing the figure "8" patteren???...

  • I've seen the 1501 in person- it was the first and only SD& I've ever seen. It looks pretty ragged, but it does its job well. And all that power at the "squarehouse" looks awesome- especially the first-generation Geeps and SDs.

  • @tartopfan Nathan M3.

  • I can see that some of the engines especialy that SD9 were once Southern Pacific and still has it's mars lights except the warning red gyralite are removed.

  • What type of horn does the 1501 have?
