http://www.mum.edu Answered by Paul Horn: "To transcend is to touch the source of creativity and knowledge and energy -- and to use it in your daily life. That's a very important thing." Ann Mortifee: "The more I meditate, the more I become conscious that I have a stable inner world." At Maharishi University's Music and Consciousness Symposium: Exploring the Inner Dimension of Sound and Self-Expression.

The foundation of MUM's Creative Musical Arts program is the profound connection between music, consciousness, and creativity. This provides a holistic, innovative approach to musicianship that allows each student to develop his/her unique artistic voice. http://www.mum.edu/music

Creative Musical Arts integrates three areas: •Exploring diverse musical styles through our unique approach to improvisation and composition •Hands-on training in theory, listening skills, instrumental technique, repertoire, and more •Developing your inner creative potential through Consciousness-Based education

Consciousness-Based education connects everything you learn to the underlying wholeness of life. So each class becomes relevant, because the knowledge of that subject is connected with your own inner intelligence. You study traditional subjects, but you also systematically cultivate your inner potential, developing your creativity and learning ability. Your awareness expands, improving your ability to see the big picture, and to relate to others. http://www.mum.edu/cbe

MUM uses the block system, in which you take one course at a time. This lets you immerse yourself in the subject, learning more without the stress of taking 4-5 courses at once. http://www.mum.edu/block

  • "Stable inner world" That is nice. The paradox is the only constant. The rest are variables. And that is a good meditation too, for a quiet mind. The Paradox being the infinite absolute constant, that defines and creates the world, variables. Peace.
