This is a test of the 3d engine i'm developing in C++/directx. The idea is to write a clone of David Braben's game: Frontier.
You can see huge planets and also small object, illumination, texture mapping, and actually this scene runs at 600 fps on a turion64x2 and GeForce 7600go.

Earth, and others have real dimensions, the distance are still random.

  • Is there any way u can download d3d version?

  • Tau Ceti? Needs more comets and asteroids. The system is chockablock full of them.

  • BRING ON ELITE 4!

  • But I saw Australia. :P

  • I don't think that's supposed to be Jupiter. More likely a gas giant in Tau Ceti system with an Earth like moon.

  • That looks like Earth where Europa is supposed to be. Is this supposed to be because global warming, The Earth has to be transported farther away from The Sun to Jupiter orbit? What's your story line?

  • maybe you will make elite 4 ;)

keep up the good work m8

  • Fantastic!
