Hey guys! It's been a while. Kind of.

I'm so sorry this video is so late! I actually filmed it two days after Anime Expo ended because I was so hyped from all the cosplay and funtimes, but every time I edited or narrated my computer would falcon punch itself and the file kept getting lost. I filmed this three times, and had to edit it six different times! And don't even get me started on the audio.

So with those complications, work, swimming, and getting ready to move into my college dorm, this video is SRSLY DELAYED.

Contacts!

Here I'm covering the basics of taking costume/cosplay contacts in and out, along with a few upkeep tips and so on and so fourth.

Contacts are: Gothika 's Zombie Red set.
I don't believe the brand has a specific store or online store, so googleing places that sell them would be your best bet. NEVER BUY USED CONTACTS OF ANY KIND. Nasty.

Again, they cost me $45. I had a friend that had bought them the day before for - ironically - the same cosplay, and she loved them.

WARNING: These contacts may be uncomfortable for a bit. Just keep blinking, and you'll adjust. Your eyes may get more light sensitive like mine did, so be careful. Also, since they are not perscription, you may see a rim of red in your periferal vision and in general due to their size. Again, you'll adjust. Don't panic.

COMMENT AND MESSAGE ME! I feel so awesome and recognized if you guys respond to my videos with questions, comments, anything! I'll do my best to answer your questions as quickly as I can.

What would everyone like to see next? Reviews on other contact brands, or something completely different?

-Nao

  • I have a question!! If you wear glasses can you cosplay someone who DOESNT wear glasses? Or would that be a little odd?:\ I doubt Ill buy contacts soooo...?

  • @WhaleCrackers97 It wouldn't be accurate, per se, to use glasses for a character that doesn't wear them. But there are no all-holy lording rules over what is and isn't cosplay, so if that's what makes you feel comfortable and will let you have more fun, then go for it. Just don't be upset if you get mild criticism for wearing the glasses or not getting recognized as the correct character. c:

  • I was wondering, have you ever used fake tears, or rather the correct term - lubricant eye drops? I find that after putting my contacts in, if I use 1 or 2 drops, it makes the contacts comfortable a lot faster. Clear eyes had a bunch of tv ads in the past, but I use the brand my mums uses, and that is Refresh Tears - moisture drops for dry eyes ans it feels just like natural tears. Unfortunately they are on the bit expensive side, but they go a long way for comfort ^^

  • @silvermokona0 I have used something like that, yes. c: Noted to mention them and the brand I like using the next time I talk about contacts. Thank you! <3

  • Thank You So Much! :)

  • I bought white out contacts from youknowit and im new to contacts and i put them in the first time and everytime i blink they move up and then come back down. Help?

  • And what about those who blink too much and thus can't even think about putting lenses?

  • your hair is really pretty! it must be easy to put wigs on!

  • Oh! Awesome video by the way, really helpful :D <3

  • @LuckyNeko123

Same Here! D: It's a pain in the ass to get them in when you have long eyelashes, but after you've been practicing, it's easy :)

  • I've been practicing putting in contacts so I don't flinch...the only problem I might have is that my eyelashes are so long they seem to get in the wayT-T

  • So, uh, since you seem to have trouble getting your contacts in, I just thought I'd tll you how I do mine. It seems like my method is a lot easier, too. I just hold open my eye, look up as far as I can, and put the lens on the white of my eye. Then I roll my eye until the contact rests on my iris, blink, and done.
