This song will always have a special place in my heart. At only 12 years old I had such low self esteem over my complexion that I tried tanning in the sun as well as applying fake tan to my skin everyday...and yes, I am a pale, freckly redhead just like Nicola! I was suffering with low self esteem which eventually lead to anxiety and depression that was on-going for 4 years straight. It was only last year when I snapped out of it and am the happy, confident, 'PALE-and-PROUD' person I am today :)
