  • once again - excellent work! Just one quick question; do you have to do anything after using this technique to protect it? For example, is prone to more chipping, or if any water gets on you lose more paint?

  • @pedromondew as long as the surface is dry its save. when it gets wet, the hairspray undernease loosening again and you are able to chip of further colour with hard enough preasure. to ensure absolute savety you can varnish it simply afterwards

  • All the tutorials for this technique use an aerosol can for the hairspray, is there any difference in that and the hairspray with the pump top (where you could unscrew the top and just pour some out)?

  • @Iskandur the pump hairspry version has no diffenrence at all. only the way of grebbing the hairsray is different ;-)

  • OK really first class technically ability, really i did learn a lot, that said i might suggest looking at weathered items, the first thing that needs doing is the corners and the most touched parts, such as side swipes as this seems not to be a door

  • Stop the clearing of throat so anoying but nice video.

  • I love your videos, but wth is wrong with your voice, every 2 minute sor so you keep cleaning your throat, im sorry it might be a medical condition but is pretty annoying

  • This is the best tutorial on salt weathering I've seen. I've used this technique on all my Space Wolves vehicles and it looks great, although I used water instead of hairspray and the patterns the salt makes aren't quite as fine, but they can easily be added to with a brush. If I'd seen this video first I'd have definitely used hairspray!

  • Thanks a lot, all your videos are amazing. I'm brazilian and your German accent let me understand what you speak, becouse you speak a bit slowly (my English is very poor - yet). Thanks again, and keep your good job!!

  • scary suffocating voice. but yes thanks

  • great tut but please stop clearing your throat every couple of seconds

  • ... and all thanks to you - dear Alexandra - I now understand how this technique works :)

  • @SequoiaMac Correction, 'massive voodoo' :)

  • First time watching this & good stuff ;) ...However, there was some comment of 'stealing' this technique from another artist or 'tuber on here, 'random voodoo' was it?. You made mention that you did... But i must disagree thoroughly, this technique has been around for a very, very long time, in various guises dependant on mediums available, so nobody has 'stolen' anything from anyone apart from the person whom was THE original discoverer, whomever the hell that could be is a guess now ;)
