Horse Riding - Should I Give It Up Or Carry On

Right;;
I've Been Riding Jus Over 8 Years;;
Didnt Do Alot In The First Seven Years Mind.
Basically Because I Couldnt Really Be Bothered.
I Started Being Obsessed With Horses Because I Got Bullied.
Then On October O1st 2OO6 I Worked In Kennels So I Had NO Time To Ride At All.
I Lost That Job In December O3rd 2OO7. Which Left Me With A Load Of Time.
On The 12 January 2OO8 I Started At Starlight Riding Centre, Where My Riding Came On In Leaps And Bounds;;
I Brought Preshy On For Them And The After I Left School Started Full Time And Working With Basically All The School Horses.
As My Riding Improved My Ambition To Become A Decent Rider Got Bigger.
I Wanted To Succeed.
I Started Competiting In October In Dressage. I Did Well In Two Tests The Others Were Good Buh There Were Other Better Riders And Horses In There.
I Qualified For Cricklands Winter League Dressage Finals On Preshy. And In December I Got Fourth Outv 20 VERY Good Riders (:

Only Thing Is Recently;; I've Been Getting Nasty 'Know It All' Comments On My Bebo Pictures Of Me & Fawn. Saying Im Too Big For Her, Im A Short Arse Weight Practically NOTHING And Shes A Three Year Old Rising Four 13.1/2 HH Chestnut Filly. No One With A Brain Cell Would Get On Her So I Did.

And Now Because Of Those Shitty Comments, I'm Seriously Considering Quitting Horse Riding, Because I Only Started Horse Riding Because I Loved Being With Horses, And I Wanted To Excel At Some Thing Yet All The Bebo Horse Bitches Just Left Right Shitty Comments. About Me Being Too Big For Horses.. Next They Are Gunna Bloody Say Im Too Big For Teddy

And I Dont Wanna Quit Riding Because As One Of My Bezzies Said I Have 'Pure Talent' When It Comes To Riding. Its My Life And I'm Getting Shit About It..

People Say They Are Jealous Coz I'm Better Then Them.

A Little Mention To Preshy -
Preshy Had Been Taken Out Of The Riding School Because She Was A Bit Too Sharp And Kept Trying To Gallop Down The Long Sides Of The Indoor Arena. When I First Started There I Fell In Love With Presh And One Day I Was Put On Her As A Lead In A Lesson. After That I Rode Her As Much As Possible. I Was Then Given Her To Camp, And It Was In Camp Where, She Learnt To Jump And Love It. She Also Taught Me To Get The Canter Rhythem And I Can Now Stay With The Horse In Canter Unlike Some People I Knw (: Preshy Has Taught Me While I Taught Her, In Camp Our Bond Shone Through, Because When I Went To Get Her In On The First Morning She Saw Me And Was Laying Down, She Let me Walk Right Up To Her. Everyday After That She Would See Me And Come Trotting Up To Me. She Would Always Watch Me And Everything. Precious Really Is Precious. She May Be Small And Have A Very Cheeky Side But To Me And Even Though I Dont Own OR Loan Her She's Still Perfect (:

quit coz u can have a better life instead of horse ridding and do somthing like working with dogs or vets and then get to look after animals so then you get the best of bost world not because u r rubish but u can do so much more =)

I quite like riding actually. I continued, I worked in an animal sanctuary for a year and three months and did work experience with a vets. I'll do what I like thank you. I will do what ever I please and one day I will again resume work with rescue animals.

Riding is something you enjoy, obviously. It makes you happy. And, as you've discovered, it relieves stress and gives you that break that you definitely need at times. Pursue your dreams as a rider. Never give up on something you love. Horses are a beautiful and magical thing and they will make you happy when nothing else can! So stick to it, girl!

I honsetly belive you can do it and it doesnt matter what other people think they might be saying that because THERE the failures, i think you should carry on and make it your passion and you are better than them probs and your a VERY GOOD rider :D

I confess I get overhorsed easily and I want a nice solid compact ride that's not three times my height (not really but it feels like it) so I think you're good.

Well do what you wanna do , If people dont like how you ride so what?? If you want to give up do it because YOU want to , and by the looks of your riding you look pretty good , every one has improvements needed for their riding even the best of riders ! So if you want to quit do it because you want to and dont let anyone stop you with that desion because if you do you might regret it.. :L hope this helped :)
