i want to thank you for posting this great DIY, saved me a lot of money on the install. took me about 20 min to remove it and 10 min to install the new bumper (didnt break any tabs and was my first time doing this)..... great great DIY for those willing and not scared to do it. the tabs are a little difficult but once you remove the first one you will do the others just fine.

@g31n3z3w5k1 I have to install a rear bumper cover on my 525i 1995... Im pretty sure its easier for the older models. or else mine wouldnt of came off in the first place
-
I hope this is the same for older models, soon to find out =P

@portermorrison No i do not. But the black hooks have an angle in the forward end of them, so they are getting pushed down in the right way if you just drag the bumper backwards to remove it :) Works great, thats the way BMW themselves does it.

@Nisse977 do you have a video?

Today i have taken the bumper of to change på a M-tech one. I must inform everybody here that this is THE WRONG WAY to take the bumper of. You do not ned to push down the black plastic hooks to get it of. You just push the whole bumper backover. Backward! When you do that, the hooks gets forced down and you can easy take it of the car. After you have remowed the bumper you will se why this happens. The hooks are made with an angle on the side.

what about the battery? do i need to unplug it?
-
do you have to remove the taillight to remove the bumper
That's an excellent insight to the secret of unclipping those tabs. Well Done and take some serious brownie points for making this video and posting it up.

@sussertheoriginal Thanks and you are welcome. Might take the front bumper next week or so to repaint the bottom grill. So, stick around if you're interested on that DIY.
