In Coralville, Iowa police shut down 4-year-old Abigail Krstinger's lemonade stand after it had been up for half an hour. Dustin Krustinger told reporters that his daughter was selling lemonade at 25 cents a cup during the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Race Across Iowa (or RAGBRAI), and couldn't have made more than five dollars. Police informed her that a permit would cost $400.

@FinsterFlummoxing What about Obama? TARP was used for financial institutions. Obama abused it by bailing out his union voters (UAW) at GM and Chrysler.

To be honest, it's really not that necessary to know where the money is going. The bank bailouts are just loans. As long as the banks return the loans with the interest that is due, I don't see why they can't spend what they got as they please. If they get a second chance and screw up again, let them die. They still paid back the people's taxes with interest.

@gemcutter187 Sorry man. It just isn't that simple in my world. I certainly don't agree with any of the bailouts...especially since I have an education in banking and understand a bit about economics. But I will certainly say this. Maybe ppl have listened to the misinformation a bit too much...NEWSFLASH. The Constitution gave us a great fail-safe device here...called Congress. This "single bullet" might be fired at them, since without them, the President's recommendations are meaningless!
