A Mother's Nightmare: A Struggle With Autism

A Benzie County woman struggles every day with her 13-year-old daughter. She has autism and it causes her to be aggressive. It's put Kelli Stapleton in the hospital several times and now that the family has found a treatment facility, the cost has become too much to handle. This family now has to figure out how to pay for their daughter's treatment or bring her home too early to potentially dangerous consequences.

I agree to an extent but then again, this family is desperate and terrified. They don't know what to do or where to go from here. They are showing this, I am sure, in hopes of somebody, anybody helping all of them. Listen to the mother. She is afraid *for the child's sake* that the child will kill her. She is afraid how the child will be affected. You can see that these people love their child and are only desperately seeking help. I hope they find it.
