1978. This song teaches about the universal law of gravity and is performed by the Tokens in the style of 1950s doo-wop (an era made popular at the time by films such as Grease and TV series such as Happy Days). Sung by The Tokens. Written by Lynn Ahrens

The Tokens also gave us "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Fun fact for the day.

This reminds me so much of the movie "Grease".

me:*bumps into a desk and falls dramatically*

person: You've such a clutz *giggling*

me:*standing up* I'm not clumsy or a fool. I'm just following the rules.

    person: of what, freak?

me: the rule that says what comes up must go down.

    person:?

    me: gravity

    (:

At the time this was made, There was A "Do-Wop" show on t.v. called "Sha-Na-Na" and it was very much the "Greasers" of the 50's and Do-Wop music. As I recall, They were probably more of an Influence than "Happy Days".

2:08-2:17 Newton?? HA! I like the legend of the discovery of comedy better!

...There he was, Sir Isaac Fozzie. He was sitting under a tomato tree 1 day trying to discover the Law of Comedy. He though: lets see a good joke has to have a chicken in it. I GOT IT! Why don't chickens lay grapefruits? cause who'd wanna eat a grapefruit omelet? As luck would have it a tomato fell on his head & people started laughing. Afterwards he knew that: if you don't have a good joke all you need is a ripe tomato
