Interesting take on things, but it's not true. I believe in Jesus because I have been convinced by arguments and evidence that he rose from the dead and is who he said he was: God in human flesh. I believe in him because he loved me enough to die for my sins and restore my relationship with God, the Father. He gives me a purpose for living: to love him and serve Him and others and to share with others how they can be reconciled to God and escape the coming judgment.

I do not believe you care about the Truth. I suspect you were frightened by images and threats of Hell when you were a child. Now that you are older and more sophisticated, you have translated those fears into something you regard as salvation. But at the core, you believe in Jesus Christ because you do not want to go to Hell. Nothing to do with Agape Love, or transcending your fears or desires. Nothing to do with helping your fellow man or a spiritual life...just fear of Hell.
