A brilliant adaptation. Bryan was on top of his game with this. BTW- A New Lovecraft adaptation: ARKHAM SANITARIUM in the works, by UK -based Survivor Films. Going to be epic!

@1acount He didn't hate heat, read the freakin story - or in this case, listen to what he SAYS - before you make ignorant comments.

I watched this on Netflix. I must say I prefered it to much of Lovecraft's work. I thought I was going to be watching a scary movie, while instead I found myself weeping at the end. This was a sad serious story that I believe was pulled right from Lovecraft's life. So sad though.

Because there's so much to do there.

why didnt the guy just move to the arctic if he hated heat so much?

I think this was an overall better adaptation of a Lovecraft story than the HPLPS's Call of Cthulhu. While the latter movie seemed more concerned in transcribing the plot rather than the tone and emotions of the source material, Cool Air did a more balanced job in both areas.

I saw this in Salem at least five years ago at the H.P. Lovecraft film festival they had for two days around Halloween they had at the Salem Peabody essex museum. Nice, I didn't know it was available. I'm going over to Swan point cemetery to take some video at his grave. I'm going to post it later. The man was genius!
