This ERC Spitfire too a knock last year and the thrust stopper or plastic bearing or what ever it's called had slipped off the shaft. It's a common occurrence when the model takes a knock. It's easily mended - although you either split the fuselage or for a quicker fix cut a hole in it.
The Pics in the video tell the story.
Then to prove it flys some footage from St Helens indoor meet 14th January. The model was at home flying around the hall, very smoothly and very controlled.
I find the small radio that comes with the model a little to small for my arthritic hands to get the sticks finger and thumb as I don't fly thumbs. I extend the TX sticks with some balsa dowel making sure the super glue doesn't spill down the sticks as it would ruin the TX. I then finish off the sticks in black heat shrink. This makes them look like they came from the manufacture looking like that. I have been asked where I got the TX with the long sticks. Several modellers that have done the same mod, say its worthwhile doing as with no Expo or Rates available on the TX, control needs to be precise. It's not a beginners model. If you can't already fly model aeroplanes , then don't bother with this model. It fly's like a old style RC model, the radio is used to interfere with the flight pattern. It's not like precise DX8 type control.
Thanks for watching.
