  • I wonder if Rudd will ever manage to say anything without sticking his tongue out!

  • I did a count check on him....around every 14/15 seconds...he did not reach 20 seconds free from licking his sexy little lips...hehe.

  • lol! but sexy?? surely you jest, lol! and there's a vid about it. type 'Rudd lizard' into the YouTube search bar. :)

  • This summit was proven to be one-sided, when the so-called "working groups" of 100 people voted for or against a republic. Senator George Brandis was the only person out of the 100 who voted against the republic.

  • What would we gain from becoming a Republic anyway?

  • "Mr. Rudd needs to .. focus on the things that are really concerning Australians" - Brendan Nelson. YEAH? Kinda like boat people? Brendan is such an amoral whore and hypocrite. From the party of BS beat-ups and spin; win an election over the Tampa? nothing could have been less materially consequential for Australians; a distraction while the Libs systematically raped the working class in their perpetual class war... Vote 1 Liberal for Class War against the poor...

  • What a load of crap from a few whingeing rightwing extremists. Soulless arseholes like Brandis and that dog Nelson (ty VSU) think balance exists only where their nasty, ignorant, unsubstantiated and dishonest ideological fairytales are given as much or more air and credence then those systematically informed, reasoned, scientific and ideologically bias toward truth and knowledge etc. Honestly, these pathetic halfwits have no credibility with anyone who wouldn't don a pointy white hat...

  • A change in our flag will in no way diminish the legacy of our diggers, who fought for their nation, not a piece of cloth. When once we sand god save the queen, and raised the union jack, now we sing advance australia fair, and raise an Australian flag. When we become a republic, we will have no further need for the union jack on *our* flag, so it is only a matter of time before Australians decide that a change in our flag is appropriate. Until then, the flag we have is the flag we have...

  • Old ideas....old has been celebs.... the usual hairbrained ignorance of the naive and young....they should learn some real history about the real Australia not some cooked up european ideals which came in from the 50s on when they reconfigured our history....why come out here to change what they really wanted to be free from? !

  • We don't need a "tacky new flag". Our diggers fought under that flag, so it is wrong to change it at all. Anybody that thinks Australia should have a new flag is un-Australian and out of touch with mainstream Australia. Eg, people like David Marr.

  • "The real success of the summit"

Yeah if there IS any success.

  • Nothing. Maybe a new tacky flag but thats it.
