Well, on the other end of the spectrum, many Christians who believe evolutionary theory is flawed (and/or entirely inaccurate) have that forced on them. What makes it OK to force one and not ther other? Or, more to my point, why is it that BOTH sides of an issue can't be taught and have the students decide for themselves??
Though, I don't believe the bible should be read in school. Many other religions teach moral fiber as well, and I believe it is up to parents to teach their children how they see fit.
Still I agree, there is much to be learned from the bible, as there is many other faiths.
"Preaching" does not have to occur for the bible to be a great moral teacher in it's own right. It is useful for history, culture, and literature, but to think it's value is limited to that is to greatly underestimate the power of scripture that is God breathed. Where else can mankind go to receive revelation about God's great plan of salvation, His desire to have intimate communion with us, and our obligation to Him and our fellowman. No preaching is necessary, the Word of God preaches itself.
Great video! Amazing, even though I may disagree with people preaching in school, I do agree to aknowledge the powerful literature, culture, and historic value fo this great holy scripture.

I don't feel it should be read as a school book. If we are to do that, then why not teach Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Hindu writing?
I like the Bible, and feel its a great read with many lessons to teach, just like so many other religious writings.
