America's toughest sheriff Gerald Hege who has his prisoners wear pink striped uniforms in his pink jail gets smacked down by drug war activist Anthony Papa, author of "15 to Life" (ww.15tolife.com) and Manager of Media Relations for the Drug Policy Alliance ( of note: Sheriff Hege was indicted on 15 felony charges in 2003 and took a plea deal and received 3 years probation) follow Papa : http://twitter.com/AnthonyPapa

  • If I remember right, the good Sheriff Hege got in a lot of trouble a while back. I hope that he and Sheriff Joe Arpaio share a cell some day.

  • Criminals incarcerated for victimless crimes should at least be allowed to get their high school diplomas. Maybe if they didn't lock ppl up for stupid shit like having a bag of pot in your pocket it wouldn't be such a problem. Rapists and murderers on the other hand, that's a different story.

  • what e ever happened to that tv sho?

  • @OTISG69 Guess you're in prison since you like to lick guys' asses.

  • The prison complex? Uh, how about the trend is that criminals don't change. How about that?

  • fuck the confederate states

  • Yikes. YOu can just look at that sheriff and tell that idiocy and ignorance is at the root of this problem we have with Justice in this country. Spinning our wheels and going nowhere but backwards because the worst minds among us are in control.

  • listen to the rude ex inmate you give him a chance to talk and he won't be respectful even on your t.v. show, the jail mentality is growing and the rude behavior is now cool, young people think jail is a right of passage so now you have rude kids, acting like they want to be jailed to prove something we give to much power to free speach and not enough power to success stories of brilliant minds, slam dunk, and make millions or sell drugs, who wants education ?

  • @Koroush51 unless you murder a cop and rape his wife....then you deserve VIP treatment!

  • @berner Ever heard of contracts?

  • @Chuckjagermeister So basically what you're saying is that when cops start their day at their morning briefing, they're told stuff like "The state needs more money. We'll need to start arresting 35% more people today because the numbers aren't high enough, so let's get out there and put more people in jail because the politicians aren't happy".

But I'm still not seeing the connection 'cause it costs money to house an inmate
