Criminals incarcerated for victimless crimes should at least be allowed to get their high school diplomas. Maybe if they didn't lock ppl up for stupid shit like having a bag of pot in your pocket it wouldn't be such a problem. Rapists and murderers on the other hand, that's a different story.

We'll need to start arresting 35% more people today because the numbers aren't high enough, so let's get out there and put more people in jail because the politicians aren't happy".

But I'm still not seeing the connection 'cause it costs money to house an inmate
